I’m Back

I’m back home in Canada and back to my blog after a two month break.

Left our Texas home on April 8th at 11 A.M., an hour later than planned. Temperatures in the mid 80s.

We left mesquite blooms.

Our first destination, Mustang Island. We missed this on our trip down because the weather was just too cold. Went for a long walk on the windy beach before dinner. Very invigorating.
I wore shorts in April!

Took two and a half weeks to get home to rain and cold, down into thirties at night, that lasted two weeks.
Watched spring backwards. It seemed that every day’s drive north took us a week back in spring weather. When we left the trees were fully leafed and each day there were less leaves until we reached Ohio where there were none.
Came back to bare trees

Welcome? back to Canada with bare trees

Just today (mid May) we are finally getting nice weather.
Soon we will be gardening.

Have a lot of stories to tell about our trip so stay tuned. First stop Mustang Island State Park where Boscoe has a life threatening encounter.

  1. Welcome back! How interesting to watch spring backwards! Hope you are warm and dry now.

  2. It’s as if you have your own time machine! I might try what you did to see if I get to look younger!
    Welcome Back!
