Truck Meets Motorcycle

Those of you who know us at well know we are not early risers so you would know that a 7:30 A.M. knock at the fifth wheel door is a rude awakening. When  this happened late last May I stumbled out of bed to open the door to our next door neighbor. “I need to speak to Mike” he demanded. Mike staggered out to see what he wanted and returned to tell me that the neighbor had skidded in the mud on his motorcycle and run into the driver’s side of the truck scraping it from back to front, only missing the driver’s door.

We’ve driven that truck back and forth to Texas three times, touring many states along the way. Been in some tight spots and some horrendous traffic jams, up mountains and down without a scratch ( if you don’t count the time I backed it into the hitch, but that was a dent not a scratch), only to get hit while parked, while we slept.

After 15 days in the shop our truck looks brand new, they even fixed the dent. No bad feelings with the neighbor, the last thing he said when we moved to our new camp ground was ” don’t park near any motorcycles”.

  2. Glad you’re all fixed up. That must have been a rude awakening!
